The battery is located inside the adjustment knob, you will need a Phillips screwdriver to change it. First remove the removable pad on the back and loosen the screw to remove the knob (the LED light). Then unscrew the three screws on the back of the light with the screwdriver and open the battery cover. Remove the used battery and dispose of it properly. Insert the new lithium battery into the battery compartment with the correct polarity. Close the battery cover and tighten the screws with a screwdriver. Make sure that the screws are firmly tightened.

The helmet should sit straight on the head and cover the forehead. It should fit snugly but not pinch; this can be adjusted using the size adjustment wheel at the back of the head. Yes, the helmet should always be checked after a fall and replaced if in doubt. Even if no external damage is visible, hairline cracks or invisible damage to the material can significantly reduce the protective effect of the helmet. Your child's safety comes first - which is why we recommend replacing the helmet as a precautionary measure after a severe impact.

The LED light on the adjustment wheel of the helmet is battery-operated. So if the light no longer lights up, it is very likely that the battery is flat. You can easily replace it and the light will light up again. 

No, according to safety standards (e.g. EN 1078), nothing may be worn under the helmet. Additional clothing such as caps, hoods or headbands can impair the fit and protective effect of the helmet. For cooler days, we recommend helmets with integrated padding over the ears instead.
