Summer is here – and with it countless opportunities for little scooter outings!
Whether it's to the playground, the park, or the ice cream shop: with just a few preparations, every summer day can turn into a safe, relaxed and fun-filled adventure on wheels.
Here's our Summer-Checklist for all scooter fans!
1. Don't forget Sun Protection!
The sun can be quite strong, especially for sensitive children's skin. That's why sun protection is a must:
Head Protection
During rides the helmet protects not only from falls but also from the sun. During breaks, kids can either keep their helmet on or switch to a cap or sun hat for continued protection.
2. Stay Hydrated
Scootering makes you thirsty!
A drink is a need - especially on warm summer days. That's why a small, leak-proof water bottle should always be part of your adventure gear. Still or sparkling water are perfect thirst quenchers - refreshing and healthy.
Homemade smoothies are also a great option: They're packed with vitamins, taste delicious, are pleasantly cool and are easy to prepare at home. That way, little adventurers stay energized - ready for even more fun on the go! 😊
3. Treasure Jar for Little Finds
No adventure is complete without treasures. Whether it's stones, berries, flowers, shells, or leaves – there's so much to discover outdoors. A small jar, an empty suprise egg container, or a similar box can hold your child's favorite finds. At home, they can turn into seasonal crafts or fun room decorations – a lasting memory of the day.
4. Street Art with Chalk
Sidewalk chalk is easy to carry and offers endless fun. Kids can draw pictures or create obstacle courses to scooter through.
They can also draw entire roads and cities – creating their own very world to play in, just how they like it.
5. Mosquito Protection
Especially in parks or in the evening, mosquitos can quickly become a nuisance. To make sure your trip doesn't end with itchy bites, it's worth having child-friendly mosquito repellent with you. Small roll-ons or sticks are very practical – they fit in every bag and are always ready to use.
Tip: Tie a cloth with a few drops of lavender oil to the scooter handle – the natural scent repels mosquitoes and smells pleasant. Important: Never apply pure essential oil directly to children's skin.
6. Storage
Of course a summer day on the scooter also calls for some extra storage - after all, water bottles, sunscreen, sidewalk chalk, and little treasures found along the way all need a safe space. Everything should be easy to carry and still within a quick reach.
To keep things from getting lost and to let kids carry their own essentials, a compact, child-friendly backpack is ideal - that way, all the important items are always along for the ride.
With these six small preparations, you're perfectly equipped for any summer outing – no matter where you're going. Everything packed? Then nothing stands in the way of your next little summer adventure – have fun exploring, riding and enjoying every moment!
