Product Safety and Compliance Specialist (m/f/d)

At Scoot and Ride, you are responsible for ensuring that our scooters, balance bikes, helmets and accessory products meet all relevant safety and legal requirements.
Your role
You will work closely with development, quality, purchasing, and other departments to ensure our products are safe and compliant from concept to market launch. You can expect an environment where initiative is valued, personal development is possible, and a collaborative team spirit is fostered.
Your tasks
- Regulatory research and communication:
You research and interpret relevant standards, guidelines and legal requirements for our products and target markets, prepare them in a way that is clearly understandable for other departments, and support their implementation. - Support during product development:
You are involved in development projects from the very beginning and ensure that safety and market-relevant requirements are taken into account early on and adhered to throughout the entire development and production process. - Risk assessment and prevention:
You conduct risk analyses with regard to product safety and conformity, identify potential weaknesses, develop concepts for risk reduction and prevention strategies, and implement these together with the QM team. - Conformity in all product details:
You ensure that labeling, packaging, operating instructions and other product documentation comply with all relevant regulations. - Documentation and record keeping:
You maintain complete, structured documentation (e.g., test results, certificates, technical documents) so that our compliance activities are verifiable and audit-proof at all times. - Test planning and coordination:
You plan and coordinate product-specific tests for different markets, collaborate with testing laboratories, and ensure that all required documentation is up-to-date and complete. - Further development of processes and guidelines:
You will contribute to the design and improvement of internal processes and guidelines related to product safety and compliance, and support their practical implementation in everyday life.
Your profile
- Completed studies, e.g. in a technical, scientific or similar field
- Relevant professional experience in the field of product compliance / product safety
- Sound knowledge of EU standards and EU directives as well as other countries
- Strong analytical skills, structured and meticulous work ethic
- Strong team orientation and enjoyment of collaborating with different departments.
- Excellent German and English skills, both spoken and written, as we communicate bilingually in everyday life.
